1) How long does it take to get my pictures back after I place an order?

     8x10s and smaller can usually be delivered that same day.  10x13s and larger prints can either be hand delivered within a week or shipped within 2 weeks.  Photo products such as photo boxes, t-shirts, cups, etc take 2-3 weeks.

2) Can I wear green during my Green Screen Photo Session?

     Green Screen digital technology allows us to pull a subject off of a green backdrop.  We can however photograph a subject on the "green" screen and designate areas that the program ignores, allowing any color to be shot against the screen.  Additionally we have multiple screens of different colors to avoid this problem altogether.  If our subject chooses, we can also go without the screen and shoot in pretty much any location you desire for a more traditional sitting.

3) What is digital Green Screen Technology?

     A photography professional photographs one or more subjects placed on and in front of a special chromakey backdrop.  The image is then transferred to a program which "cuts" the subject out of the backdrop and places them into whatever scene they choose.

4) How many people can we photograph at a time?

      As many as we can fit in the area we are shooting in.  Although we do prefer to use a tripod, our quick release system makes us both flexible and adaptive to any shooting environment.  Want us to shoot an entire stadium?  Bring it on!

5) How much does an average session cost?

     Because of the immense differences between each individual client's needs, it is nearly impossible to give a generic estimate.  Our collections begin at $70 and go up from there.  Please call for further details or an exact estimate.

6) How long does an appointment usually last?

     Southern Moon Photography, LLC is a family owned and operated company so we understand the demands on our time by children, work and everything else in our modern world.  Since we are mobile we save you time by not having to load up and drive to the studio!  Additionally small children feel safer because they are in a familiar environment.  All this helps us, and you, get back to life faster.  Plus, with our print-on-site services, you won't have to wait to show off your pictures.  8x10 and smaller sizes are normally available immediately upon order completion.  All together it usually takes between 1 hour and 2 hours per sitting depending on the subject and client needs.

7) Do I have to make an appointment?

     Since we don't operate from a fixed location you do need to call and schedule a time for us to meet with you.  The plus side is we are available more hours and more days each week than most stationary or "mall" studios.

8) How many backgrounds can I choose from?

     We have a variety of backgrounds to choose from and that collection is still growing.  Many of our backgrounds are from original photographs we ourselves have taken.  If you have a special request please let us know when you schedule your sitting and we will try to have it available for you.

9) Is there a sitting fee or a fee for more than one person?

     Generally speaking there are no sitting fees for groups under 7 people.  However, there may be an additional subject fee for groups over 7.  And we do ask for a non-refundable reservation fee, due at time of appointment scheduling.  This fee is applicable towards any purchases you make from your sitting.

10) Can I prepay for a collection as a gift for a loved one?

     Yes!  We offer gift certificates in increments of $25, or you can purchase a gift certificate equal to the value of a specific collection.  This is a great gift for anybody, especially when combined with one of our Baby's First Year Collections.  It's a gift for new parents that gives all year long (and leaves them without excuses for not getting you new pics of the new addition!)

11) Do we photograph schools, clubs, and events?

     We can work with your committee or representatives to develop exclusive offers for your students, members and/or participants.

12) What offers can you make the business owners on business related photography?

     Business portraiture is becoming more and more of a necessity in the modern economy.  It's an investment into your company's image and it's very important for that image to be the right one.  So Southern Moon Photography, LLC developed 2 collections specifically tailored to the needs of business owners.  Product photography is also available.  Please call 817-886-7337 for an estimate.

13) Do we photograph pets or livestock?

     Our photographers enjoy all aspects of photography and working (as safety permits) with a wide variety of subjects including dogs, cats, birds, horses, goats and other ranch or farm animals.

14) How far are we willing to travel?

     Pretty far!  However, due to the expenses involved in travel, we charge an additional upfront fee based on distance for any location more than 20 miles from the 76028 zip code. This fee is unfortunately not applicable towards your collection purchase, nor is it refundable.

15) Is there a Deposit?  How much is it?

     Our standard deposit is $50.  We do offer reductions of this if you reserve during festivals and events.  Any other fees, such as Mileage, Costumed Characters, On-site printing are also due at the time the reservation is made.

16) Are there any other fees?

    Unfortunately there are a few fees for some of our services.  Here they are:

      - We will travel 40 miles from the 76028 area code for free.  After that there is a $1/mile fee.

      - We can bring our printers with us so that you can have your 8X10s and smaller instantly!  This is available for an additional $25.

      - Want a Professional Studio Set-up with background, props and all?  We will bring the sceen to you and set it up for only $50.

      - If you would like to have Santa, the Easter Bunny or another costumed character at your shoot, we can make that happen!  The fee for this is a low $250.

17) How do I calculate the mileage fee?

     Click or type the link bellow into your URL Address Bar and follow the instruction to calculate the total miles.  If it is under 40 miles there is fee.  If it is greater than 40 miles then subtract 40 from the total miles and the remaining total is your fee.
